Braided sutures are coated with coating material. The coating material of coated sutures consists of a mixture of Calcium Stearate, Polyglycolic Acid (30%) \u2013 L-Lactic Acid (70%).<\/p><p>When <strong>ALCALACTINE\u00ae RAPID<\/strong> sutures are implanted into a living organism, they are absorbed by the organism and do not cause excessive tissue irritation. ALCALACTINE\u00ae RAPID sutures are not antigenic or pyrogenic, only a mild tissue reaction occurs during absorption.<\/p><p><strong>ALCALACTINE\u00ae RAPID<\/strong> sutures meet all the requirements defined in the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) and the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) for absorbable synthetic sutures, except that the diameter limits are slightly exceeded in some
